Everything LiveCat records is stored only on your iPhone and never leaves it.
What we use
LiveCat uses the following only to make its features work. All of it stays on your iPhone.

| Location | Showing your speed and drawing your paths on a map (if you turn it on) |
| Motion & Fitness | Making the cat walk, bike, or drive along with you |
| Cat name and settings | Saving your preferences |
There is no sign-up, and we never ask for your name, email, or contacts.
Retention
Journey and path records are kept for the last 90 days and deleted automatically after that. Path recording is off by default and only saved if you turn it on in Settings.
Deleting your data
You can erase everything at any time in Settings → Erase all journeys. Deleting the app removes all data with it.
Permissions
Every permission is optional — the core features work without them.
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Location | Speed and path recording. Choosing "Always" keeps recording going even when the app is closed. |
| Motion & Fitness | Detecting how you're moving. Without it, you can pick the mode manually. |
| Notifications | Letting you know if recording stops. |
| Live Activities | Showing the cat on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. |
Third parties
We never share your information with anyone. Map images come from Apple Maps, and your movement records are never included in those requests.
